Bermuda
Headquartered in Bermuda, our flagship carrier and group designated re/insurer, Cavello Bay Reinsurance Limited, is licenced by the Bermuda Monetary Authority to underwrite retroactive Property & Casualty re/insurance business on a global basis. Cavello Bay holds a Financial Strength Rating of “A” from both AM Best and S&P with stable outlook and is recognised as a Reciprocal Jurisdiction Reinsurer in over 10 US states.
United States
Through our US platform, we are licensed to operate in all 50 states across the full suite of Property & Casualty classes, giving us broad capability to deliver solutions for clients and multi-national corporations across our network of re/insurance and service company affiliates.
United Kingdom
In the UK, we operate as a trusted underwriter within the Lloyd’s of London market through Enstar Managing Agency Ltd., operating Syndicate 2008. We also hold licences to participate in the wider UK company market, enabling flexible engagement across Property & Casualty re/insurance portfolios and complex liabilities.
Europe
Our European entities in Belgium and Liechtenstein are focused on delivering retrospective solutions across continental European markets through Freedom of Services.
Australia
Enstar has been a trusted presence in the Australian market since 2008, following the acquisition of the country’s largest solvent run-off. We are licenced by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and the State Insurance Regulation Authority (SIRA) for certain statutory classes of business.
Alongside our core solutions, we provide specialist consulting on risk and liability issues through our subsidiary, Cranmore.
Cranmore specialises in insurance and reinsurance consulting with operations in the UK, US and Belgium. Its services include technical inspections, claim reviews and management, delegated authority compliance and broader due diligence support.
