Employers Liability Insurance

Employers liability register

  • From 1 April 2011 we have been required under PRA rules to keep a register of Employers’ Liability Insurance that The Company have provided to help claimants trace the relevant insurer.  The Company fulfils this requirement through the Employers’ Liability Tracing Office (ELTO).
  • Records for The Company can be found on the ELTO website.
  • StarStone Insurance SE (SISE) does not underwrite any stand-alone employers’ liability insurance. SISE may have potential liability for employers’ liability insurance under packaged products, where UK commercial lines employers’ liability cover has been provided at levels in excess of £5 million as part of a broader policy. The Company is not required to make details of those policies available in the register under the Financial Conduct Authority rules; the responsibility for making information available in relation to the policy providing the principal cover is with the principal insurer.
  • If you believe you may have a commercial employers’ liability policy for which excess coverage has been provided by SISE, then please e-mail your enquiry to [email protected].
