IMPORTANT CLIENT UPDATE: MERCANTILE INDEMNITY COMPANY

It has come to our attention that a firm calling itself Mercantile Indemnity Company – https://www.mercantileinc.co.uk is passing itself of as an insurance company in the UK in the absence of an appropriate authorisation. 

This unauthorised firm has cloned the details (the name and UK registered address) of Mercantile Indemnity Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Enstar Group Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Prudential Regulation authority and the Financial Conduct Authority.

The genuine ‘Mercantile Indemnity Company Limited’ does not underwrite any new contracts of insurance.  Any offers of insurance that may be received are almost certainly not genuine, and should be referred to compliance@enstargroup.com for investigation.
