Bermuda is home to our parent company, Enstar Group Limited and to Enstar Limited, our Bermuda-based service company. Enstar Limited was formed in 1995 to manage insurance and reinsurance businesses in run-off mainly for Bermuda and U.S. companies. Our portfolio consists of companies owned by the group and companies managed for third party clients. In addition, Enstar Limited provides corporate management services to Enstar Group Limited.

Enstar (EU) Limited specialises on behalf of Enstar Group Limited in acquiring and managing insurance and reinsurance businesses in run-off with a focus on European clients and also overseas companies with London-based insurance issues liabilities and reinsurance assets.

Enstar Australia Limited specialises in acquiring and managing insurance and reinsurance businesses in run-off and providing capital solutions to Australia and global insurance and reinsurance clients, both live and in run-off.

Enstar (US) Inc. specializes in the operation and management of US-based insurance and reinsurance companies in run-off. With offices in New York, Rhode Island, and Florida, we provide our domestic insurer and reinsurer clients with a wide range of run-off and management solutions, as well as dedicated claims and related technical services. 

We believe that the recent economic crisis is likely to encourage insurance
groups to divest themselves of capital constraining legacy businesses and look for additional liquidity.  This in turn could provide more acquisition opportunities for Enstar but we are only just beginning to see the start of this process.
